Burpee, Baker Creek, and Johnny's already own catalogs. This site exists because a ZIP code is a better homepage than 600 packets.

Seeds for Gardens maps your location to a USDA-style hardiness zone and typical frost dates, then names what is worth sowing this week. We send you to suppliers we would buy from. We do not warehouse seed, and we do not dropship mystery packets.

The business is the matching layer: crop pages, city and zone guides, a sowing calendar, and a short list of affiliate partners. Email is the sow list — seasonal, not daily. There are no user accounts on purpose. A garden ZIP in your browser is enough.

Frost dates are typical, not a forecast. Zones follow the 2023-style map by ZIP prefix and will be wrong at the edge of a valley. When we sell packets under our own name, that will be a licensed seed business — not a weekend Shopify.
